In the first tournament of the spring, UA sophomore Vaughn Snyder fired off back-to-back rounds of 1-under 71 at the Mission Inn Intercollegiate en route to finishing tied for 18th with 219 total strokes. Snyder was the highest MAC finisher at the event, which also featured Ohio and Eastern Michigan.

Haase was the Eagles’ top finisher with a three round total of 220 (79-69-81), good for a tie for 22nd place at the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational, March 10-11. Mike Van Sickle of Marquette won medalist honors with a 212 (70-68-74). As a team, EMU finished in 10th place at the 16-team Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational Sunday when it ended the day with a team total of 891 (291-290-310). The University of Louisville won the tournament with a score of 860 (285-282-293).

For the second straight tournament, Ballinger shot a 3-over 219 for 54 holes, tying for 30th place at the General Jim Hackler Championship. It marked his third straight tournament under 220 and was the second time in three spring events he was KSU’s top finisher. He totaled rounds of 72-74-73 for the week, recording his fifth round of par or better this spring.

Cimarolli paced five Ohio golfers in the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational with a three-round score of 220 to finish in a tie for 22nd place among the 87 golfers in the tournament. Not only was Cimarolli Ohio’s best overall golfer this weekend, he was the most consistent as well, posting scores of 73, 74 and 73.
