MAC WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kerstin Pahl - Western Michigan

Sophomore - Kiel, Germany/Heinrich-Heine

Pahl went 3-1 for the Broncos in the opening weekend of competition against Indiana State and No. 43 ranked Indiana. Pahl was undefeated against the Hoosiers winning at No. 1, 8-6, and coming from one set down to win at No. 1, 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (8). She also won at No. 2 singles against Indiana State, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Samantha Kintzel - Bowling Green

Freshman - Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville

Won at both singles and doubles in her collegiate dual-match debut, a 4-3 Falcon loss at Cincinnati Friday night (Jan. 12). Teamed up with sophomore Stefanie Menoff for a 9-8 victory at No. 3 doubles flight. Kintzel played for BGSU at theNo. 2 singles flight, and defeated UC’s Alizee Paradis in straight sets (7-5, 6-3). Is second on the team in both singles wins (8) and overall wins (13) this year to date.
