MAC Women's Tri-Golfers of the Week
Martina Gavier, Kent State
Senior, Cordoba, Argentina (Academia Arguello Bilingual School)
William K. Warren Invitational (Notre Dame), Par 72
74-76-71 (221, 4th)
Thanks to a trio of birdies on the back nine in the final round of the William K. Warren Invitational at Notre Dame last weekend, Gavier moved up to her second top-five finish with a five-over 221, placing her fourth in the 75-golfer field. Facing three other ranked teams, Gavier's one-under 71 on Sunday helped Kent State move to second place overall.

Brittany Kelly, Ball State
Senior, Fishers, Ind. (Hamilton Southeastern)
Nittany Lion Invitational, Par 72
71-75-75 (221, t-4th)
Brittany Kelly tied for fourth out of 96 golfers at the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational.

Britney Hamilton, Western Michigan
Senior, Lake Orion, Mich. (Lake Orion)
Nittany Lion Invitational, Par 72
74-79-68 (221, t-4th)
Britney Hamilton carded a career-low round of 68 (-4), the second lowest individual round in program history, finishing tied for fourth. Hamilton, who started her day on the second hole, made quick work of her final two holes, recording an eagle at the 18th hole and birdied the first after landing her drive behind a tree. The senior faded a 54-degree wedge around the tree to within 15 feet, sinking the putt. Only Stephanie Donkin's 6-under par 66 in the first round of the 2004 Cardinal Classic is better in the history of the WMU golf program. The Lake Orion, Mich., native finished the tournament ranked second in par 4 scoring at 3.97 (-1) and tied teammate Kaylee Imel and two others for fifth in birdies with eight over the span of the tournament. Hamilton's 54-hole total of 221 also ties for the third lowest individual 54-hole performance in team history, matching herself from last year's Nittany Lion Women's Invitational.

Other Nominees:
Kristen Hill, Akron
Junior, Weston, Fla. (Cypress Bay)
Nittany Lion Invitational, Par 72
74-78-78 (230, t-21st)

Megan Weaver, Ohio
Junior, Canton, Ohio (Perry)
Nittany Lion Invitational, Par 72
76-75-78 (229, t-16th)
Weaver recorded her second top-20 finish in as many events, finishing tied for 16th at the Nittany Lion Invitational over the weekend. Weaver led Ohio with a 229 (plus-13) while recording the team's lowest totals in two of the three rounds.

Michelle Hui, Toledo
Senior, Mt. Eliza, Australia
William K. Warren Invitational, Par 72
76-76-73 (225, t-6th)
Senior Michelle Hui tied for sixth place to help Toledo to an eighth-place showing at this weekend's Lady Irish Invitational played at the par-72, 6,079-yard Warren Golf Course. Hui fired a one-over par 73 in her final round and registered six birdies. Hui's finish came against the Rockets' toughest competition of the fall. All but one school competing in the event were ranked in Golfstat's Top 100 entering tournament play.
