Alex Stinson led Ball State and was the top MAC finisher at the Mizzou Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday. His 75-74-73=222 tied him for third overall, while helping Ball State to a tie for fifth out of 16 teams. Other league schools at the event were Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo. The third place finish was a career best for Stinson.

Eastern Michigan University senior Nick Carbary (Kalamazoo, Mich.- Mattawan) continued his strong play with his first top five showing of the season, turning in a tie for fourth place at the Columbia Orthopedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate here at The Club at Old Hawthorne, April 4-5. Competing against some of the region's best golfers, the Kalamazoo, Mich. native carded a 76 in the final round to finish with a 223 (74-73-76). As a team, the Eagles finished in second place with a team score of 922 (314-303-305) as host Missouri took home the invitational hardware with a 900 (301-299-300). Nebraska and Xavier finished a strokes back of EMU with a 923 and DePaul, Xavier and Ball State tied for fifth place with a 931. The Tigers' Jace Long captured medalist honors with an even-par 216 (71-71-74). There were 16 teams in the field.

Sophomore Kevin Miller (Dover, Ohio/Sugarcreek Garaway) shot a final round 70 to capture his second consecutive top 10 finish this week at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in Texas. Miller, who totaled 223 (79-74-70) for the week tied for 10th in an 81-man field that was highlighted by 11 of the top 100 ranked players in the country. His performance led the Golden Flashes to a fifth place finish as No. 44 Kent State climb five spots up the leader board with a final round 284. The 14 team tournament featured four teams ranked in the top 20 and eight ranked 45 or higher by

Senior Jeff Dick (Sherman, Texas/Sherman HS) returned to the clubhouse one last time in Columbia after shooting five-over 77. The Texan held on to post his second top-20 in as many tries at this event. The top-20 performance was the 17th of his career.
