CLEVELAND ? The 2009 All-MAC Outdoor Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams were paced by a league-high 23 selections by the dual-champion squads from the University of Akron. The Zips’ program, for the second year in a row, captured both the men’s and women’s MAC Outdoor Championship trophies.
A student-athlete who won an individual event or was part of a winning relay team was named on the first-team. Student-athletes who finished second individually, or were on a second place relay team were second-team.
Western Michigan had a high of six first-team selections on the women’s squad while the Zips’ men’s program led the way with 10 first-team honorees.
Eastern Michigan and Kent State each placed 13 student-athletes on the teams. The complete list of honorees is listed below.
