MAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Kazuya Komada ? Western Michigan
Sophomore - Osaka, Japan (Kwansei)
Kazuya Komada picked up five wins for Western Michigan last week, including handing Michigan State's Scott Rasmussen his first dual loss of the season 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. He also won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and 8-0 at No. 3 doubles against Illinois State. Komada also nearly pulled the upset over the No. 60 doubles team in the country vs. Iowa with an 8-7 tiebreaker loss.

Pavia captured a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 victory over Tobias Reitz at No. 2 singles at Northwestern Sunday afternoon in the Combe Tennis Center. Pavia was the lone Cardinal to win a match over the undefeated 8-0 Wildcats. With the win Pavia improved to 5-2 on the season. The Cardinals lost 6-1 to Northwestern.

Sophomore - Sao Paulo, Brazil (Colegio Carlos Magno)
singles: defeated Niagara's Roman Silin, 3-0 ret.; lost to Binghamton's Moshe Levy, 6-2, 6-3. doubles (with Kirill Kolomyts) defeated Niagara's Marc Dickinson and Roman Silin, 8-2; lost to Binghamton's Gilbert Wong and Sven Vloedgraven, 8-7 (1).
Pawel Poziomski ? Northern Illinois
Freshman - Gdynia, Poland (Secondary School of Sports and General Education)
Doubles No. 1: Jurica Grubisic/Pawel Poziomski (NIU) def. Milos Romic/Callen Fraychineaud (BRAD) 8-6 Singles No. 1: Pawel Poziomski (NIU) def. Callen Fraychineaud (BRAD) 6-1, 6-1.
Aleksandar Elezovic ? Toledo
Freshman - Belgrade, Serbia (XI Gimnasium)
Elezovic went 4-0 over the weekend helping fuel two 7-0 wins for the Rockets. Friday against Indiana State Elezovic recorded a 6-1, 6-4 win the No. 4 singles as well as winning the No. 3 doubles with partner Levi Bent-Lee 8-1. On Sunday Elezovic won 6-3, 7-5 again in the No. 3 singles. He and partner Levi Bent-Lee once again teamed together for an authoritative 8-3 win in No. 3.
