MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Chris Heaton - Miami
Senior - Centerville, Ohio/Centerville
Heaton set a MAC, school, pool and meet record with his performance on 12/6/08 in the three-meter diving event at the 15th Annual Miami Invitational with a score of 406.85 (the former record was 357.075 by Dave Keener of Ball State in 1993.). Heaton also placed second behind teammate Jim Beres in the one-meter diving event.

Jordan Rantz ? Ball State
Junior - Leesburg, Ind./Wawasee
Rantz helped guide the Ball State men’s swimming & diving team to first-place at the six-team 2008 House of Champions Invitational hosted by IUPUI. In the two-day meet, Rantz took home top honors in the 100 breaststroke with a career-fast time of 58.83, which is the fastest time to date in the MAC this season. He also turned in a career-fast time of 2:11.05 in the 200 breaststroke to place fourth overall, while swimming the second leg of the 200 medley relay squad which swam to a second-place time of 1:35.80.
Zach Ruske ? Buffalo
Senior - Superior, CO/Monarch
Ruske won the 200 IM in 1:52.86, just .6 tenths off the school record, and also scored a first-place finish in the 400 IM in a lifetime best, 4:03.39, as he helped the Bulls to a first-place finish at the Zippy Invite. Ruske also placed third in the 100 backstroke (51.59) and was part of the 3rd place 800 freestyle relay (6:58.39).
Ryan Fulkerson ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - South Lyon, Mich.-South Lyon
Helped the Eagles capture their 11th consecutive EMU Invitational title, winning two individual events while helping three relay teams to wins. Swept the fly events on the weekend, winning both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Was also part of winning 200 and 400 medley relay teams, as well as the victorious 400 freestyle relay team. Fulkerson also helped the 200 free relay team to a third place showing.
