Kent State Keeps Lead at 2008 MAC Women's Golf Championship

INDIANPOLIS, IN - After three rounds, the Kent State Golden Flashes keep their lead while Eastern Michigan moves into second place while Toledo drops to third.


KSU shoot a 303 in the third round and an 897 for the tournament.  Kirby Dreher leads the Flashes and the field shooting her third 74 in the tournament and totaling a 222.  Not far behind her is teammate Tara Delaney who shot a 75 this afternoon and a 224 in the competition.


The Eagles come in 35 strokes behind the Flashes with a 305 for round three and a 932 for the tournament.  Leading EMU is senior Catherine Fortin shooting a 75 for the day and a 230 for the tournament.  Fortin ranks sixth on the leader board followed by teammate Courtney Aili who at a 232 for the contest.


The final round of 18-holes will begin at 8 a.m. April 27, 2008. Following competition MAC Golfer, Freshman, Coach and Sportswomen of the Year, First and Second Team All-MAC and the All-Tournament teams will be announced.
