Kent State Captures MAC Gymnastics Championship

KENT, OHIO ? Kent State captured the 2008 Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Championship, its 
10th league title on the mats and first since 2005. The Golden Flashes also had four gymnasts 
honored on the All-MAC first team with Christina Lenny, Lydia Barrett, Kristin Peters, and Rachel Stuck 
named based on their championship performance.
 
Holly Reichard of Northern Illinois and MAC Freshman of the Year Andrea de la Garza of Central 
Michigan also garnered first team all-conference honors.
 
All-MAC second team members are Jolene Worley from Eastern Michigan; Andrea Perini of Western 
Michigan, Breanne Guy of Bowling Green; and Jessica Neel from Central Michigan. Eastern Michigan 
edged Central Michigan for second place. Following in order were Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, 
Ball State and Bowling Green. Complete results are listed.
