MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University's wrestling team is ranked second in the nation in this week's W.I.N. Magazine dual meet poll.

The ranking is the highest in program history. The Chippewas were ranked fourth last week.

CMU (16-2 overall, 5-0 Mid-American Conference) clinched its 10th consecutive MAC title with a pair of wins last weekend. The 16 overall victories are tied for the second-most in school history; the Chippewas have won 29 straight MAC duals and 53 of their last 54 conference duals.

Iowa tops the W.I.N. Magazine poll. Rounding out the top five behind CMU are Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Minnesota. CMU is the only program not a member of the Big 10 or Big 12 that is ranked among the nation's top 13 teams.

CMU travels to Kent State for the MAC Championships on March 7-8. The Chippewas have won six straight conference tournament titles.
