Updated 1/22/2008

Trevor Stewart ? Central Michigan

165 lbs., Junior, Canton, Mich. (Detroit Catholic Central HS)

Stewart, ranked 11th nationally, defeated Michigan's No. 2-ranked Eric Tannenbaum 5-3. Trailing 2-1, Stewart rode Tannenbaum for the entire second period, then scored an escape to open the third. He took Tannenbaum later in the period to take a 4-2 lead, and his 2:06 riding time advantage accounted for the final point in a 5-3 decision. The second-ranked Tannenbaum is the highest ranked wrestler Stewart has defeated in his career. Stewart's decision also gave CMU an 11-10 lead and put the Chippewas in front for good in their 21-13 victory over No 4 ranked Michigan.
