Updated 4/28/2007

TOLEDO, Ohio - No. 1 seed Western Michigan University got wins at each of the top three singles flights for a 4-0 win over No. 4  Bowling Green women's tennis team Saturday. The match, a semifinal-round contest in the Mid-American Conference Championships, was held at Varsity Courts on the University of Toledo campus.

In the second match of the day, No. 2 seed Buffalo got by No. 3 seed and host Toledo, 4-1. Key to Buffalo’s victory was taking the all-important doubles point. The Rockets’ No. 2 doubles team of  Martina Wodzinski and Maha Guirguis rallied back from 7-2 and got to match point three times but eventually lost in the tiebreaker, giving the point to UB.

The win advances pits Broncos, now 21-6, to Sunday's (April 29) championship match against Buffao.
