Brittney Emmons won the all-around, the vault and the floor in Ball State's meet at Illinois State...Emmons helped the Cardinals to a season high team score of 193.925, which was the 21st best team score in school history...Emmons tallied a career high 39.300 in the all-around...She won the vault with a 9.875, which tied her career high...She also posted a career high 9.750 on beam and a career best 9.800 on bars.

Kristin Teubner, Central Michigan, So., Denver, Colo./Grandview
Kristin Teubner had a breakout performance to lead Central Michigan to a first-place finish at the highly prestigious State of Michigan Classic on Sunday. The field included No. 21 Michigan State. Teubner won both the vault and floor exercise with identical scores of 9.875. The vault score tied a season-high which is tied for the best mark in the conference while her floor score is tied for second in the MAC. Her effort helped the Chippewas capture their first State of Michigan Classic title since 1999 and defeat the 21st-ranked Spartans.
Gymnast of the Week Nominees
Katie Simon, Central Michigan, Sr., Bristol, Wis./Wetosha
Katie Simon had her finest performance of the season on Sunday. Simon won the all-around with a season-high 39.175 (third best in the MAC) at the highly prestigious State of Michigan Classic, a field that included No. 21 Michigan State. The Bristol, Wis., native was consistent throughout the competition as she scored 9.775 or better in all four events. She won the balance beam with a 9.800 while finishing second on bars (9.775), fourth on floor (9.825) and sixth on vault (9.775). Her outburst helped the Chippewas win the State of Michigan Classic for the first time since 1999. Simon paced the Maroon and Gold to a season-high score of 194.975, .425 better than the 21st-ranked Spartans.
Kaylyn Millick, Eastern Michigan, Fr., Washington, Pa./Trinity
True freshman Kaylyn Millick had a break out competition at the 18th Annual State of Michigan Classic, Feb. 7, as she posted a team and career-high all-around score of 38.750 (sixth overall) to lead the Eagles to a third place finish. Miilick carded scores of 9.675 (vault), 9.550 (bars), 9.775 (beam), and 9.750 (floor exercise) to pace the Eagles.
Tanya Rachan, Northern Illinois, So., Lowell, Ind./Hanover Central
Tanya Rachan recorded her most complete performance of the season as she scored a career high 38.775 in the all around and claimed four top four finishes overall at the Texas Woman's Quadrangular, where NIU took second with its highest team score of the season. Rachan placed second in the all-around and in the uneven parallel bars, where she earned a season-high score of 9.750. She tied for third place on floor exercise after scoring a 9.775 and tied for fourth on balance beam with a 9.725.

Katelyn Busacker, Ball State, So., Lavista, Neb./Papillion Lavista
Katelyn Busacker tied for first on the beam with a career high 9.825 plus was second on the bars with a career best 9.850 . . . She helped Ball State to its highest team total of the season and the 21st best score in school history with a 193.925.
Megan Chronister, Bowling Green, Sr., York, Pann./West York Area
Megan Chronister helped lead the Falcons to their third consecutive win and a season-high team score of 193.300 in the victory over Illinois-Chicago. Chronister finished second on the balance beam with a score of 9.775 and chipped in with a 9.550 on the bars.
Nikole Viltz, Eastern Michigan, Jr., Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Carmel
Junior Nikole Viltz registered solid marks on the vault and balance beam at the 18th Annual State of Michigan Classic, Feb. 7, as her 9.800 on the vault was tied for third overall. Viltz also posted a 9.600 on the balance beam to help the Eagles to a third place finish in the competition.
Lindsay Runyan, Kent State, Fr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline
In her only event of the day, Runyan took home her first collegiate title with a personal best of 9.800 on bars.
Natalie Blum, Northern Illinois, Sr., Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township
Danielle Wishart, Bowling Green, Fr., Bethesda, Maryland
Senior Natalie Blum earned NIU's top score in both of her events Sunday, scoring a 9.725 to take third place on vault and placing second on floor exercise with a 9.800. Blum has scored in the top three on vault and floor in every meet this year for the Huskies. Both of her scores are her second-best totals this season in those events.
Danielle Wishart helped lead the Falcons to their third victory in a row and a season-best team score of 193.300 in the meet with Illinois-Chicago. Wishart finished first on the floor exercise (9.875) and balance beam (9.825) and second on the vault (9.875), recording career-highs in all three events.
