McHugh ran to a ninth-place finish at the All-Ohio Championship (5K) Friday, leading Miami to a second-place team finish. She was sixth among Division I runners at the meet. McHugh clocked in at 18:55.2 as Miami's top finisher in the 285-runner field. She was just 45 seconds behind the race's winner.

Silver ran to an individual runner-up finish Saturday at the Loyola (Chicago) Lakefront Invitational, leading Miami to the team title (of 39 teams). He finished in a time of 24:58, just seven seconds behind the race's winner. Silver's second-place finish was out of 408 competitors and was his best finish of the season. He was Miami's top finisher for the third time this year.

Muster finished 36th among 336 runners in the 6K Paul Short Invitational helping the Bulls to a fifth-place finish in the 39-team Brown Division race. Muster is the fourth different runner to lead the UB finishers in their four meets this season.

Racing in his first meet for Buffalo after four years at Penn State, Pollow completed the 8K course in 24:44 to place 70th of 386 runners as the Bulls finished 34th in the 42-team Gold Division.

Darling set a new personal best in the 5K race at the Greater Louisville Classic. Darling finished 18th with a time of 17:55. Overall the women's team took seventh place our of 34 teams at the meet.

Central Michigan University competed in their first scored meet of the season with the Greater Louisville Classic. Riak Mabil led the men, finishing 24th with his time of 24:41. Overall the men's team finished fourth out of 38 teams.

Calka continued to impress in her freshman campaign as the Eagles' top runner, as she placed sixth overall with a time of 17:56 at the Notre Dame Invitational, Oct. 2. Calka finished just behind Fresno State University's Roxanne Sellick, who rounded out the top five with a time of 17:54.

Behind a runner-up performance by senior captain Curtis Vollmar, the Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team placed third overall as a team with 93 points at the 54th running of the Notre Dame Invitational Friday, Oct. 2, at Burke Golf Course in South Bend, Ind. Vollmar continued to build off his already impressive senior campaign, as he finished second overall with a time of 24:40, just behind DePaul's Matt Graham, who took home the title with a time of 24:34. In three races this season, Vollmar has finished first, fifth, and second with Friday's finish.

Sztykiel, competing in her first meet of the fall, helped the Rockets "B" team finish 10th overall out 34 schools at the Lakefront Invitational. She placed 33rd overall out of 378 runners at the meet.

Kipchumba paced the University of Toledo men's cross country team to a fourth place finish out of 39 teams at the Lakefront Invitational. He was the top finisher for the Rockets, taking eighth overall in a field of over 400 runners. Kipchumba has led Toledo in each of the team's first three meets this season.

Draney-Tomerlin fought tough conditions and finished in 18th place out of 378 runners to help Western Michigan finish in seventh place at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational. Her time was her season-best and the best by any Bronco in a 5k this season.
