Senior - Monroe, Mich.-St. Mary's Catholic
At the Jesse Owens Classic, senior David Brent recorded yet another NCAA Regional qualifying mark, this time improving his time in the 800-meter run, finishing second with a time of 1:49.84. His time not only leads the MAC, but it is the only NCAA Regional Qualifying mark by a MAC athlete in the 800. This is the third event that he has qualified for, doing so in the 800, 1,500 and 5,000.

Jason Headman ? Akron
Senior - Conneaut, Ohio / Edgewood HS
Headman, who set the UA record for the 10,000m earlier this season, placed sixth in the 5k Friday with his school-record time of 14:31.67. The Conneaut native bettered his previous best time in the event by nine seconds and UA mark by three-tenths, previously set by David Howard (10:31.95) in April 2005.
Ezekiel Porter ? Buffalo
Junior - Rochester, NY/East
Porter set a Cornell facility record and posted a personal best with his win in the men’s 400-meters in 47.34, giving the junior the fastest MAC time this season. Porter also finished first in the men’s 200-meters in 21.50, shaving four-hundredths of a second from his previous season best.
David Ashcraft ? Central Michigan
Freshman - Harrison, Mich./Harrison HS
Ran a career-best 47.93 in the 400m to finish sixth against stiff competition at the Jesse Owens Classic. His time is the second fastest in the Mid-American Conference this season.
John Minen ? Kent State
Sophomore ? Median, Ohio
Minen earned two top 10 finishes at the Jesse Owens Classic. He competed in the mile: 4:09.56, 3rd; and 1,500: 3:51.90, 10th.
Michael McCarty - Miami
Sophomore - Hudson, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit
Normally a decathlete, he focused on three events at the Jesse Owens Track Classic in Columbus... Earned two top 10 finishes... placed seventh in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 53.41 and was 10th in the long jump (6.83 meters (22-5)... was 12th in the 110 Hurdles in 14.83 seconds.

At OSU's 24th annual Jesse Owens Classic, he placed fourth in the triple jump (49-5.50), but was one of five to post an NCAA Regional mark and the best triple jump in the MAC this season. Also placed ninth of 29 in the long jump (22-9). His triple jump was an NCAA Regional mark.

Junior - Matt Gac
Gac finished second behind an unattached thrower in the Cornell meet, posting a best toss of 191-7 (58.40m). The throw was a foot better than the 2003 record set by Keith Gentes and improved Gac’s NCAA regional qualifying mark.
Marcus Breidinger ? Central Michigan
Junior - Alma, Mich./Alma HS
Matched his MAC-leading height of 16-6 3/4 at the deep Jesse Owens Classic over the weekend, tieing for second place and reaching regional qualifying height. His season best is currently tied for the MAC lead.
Gerald Gersham ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Southfield, Mich.-Southfield
At the Toledo Invitational, senior Gerald Gersham won the shot put, throwing 52-10.75. He also finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 164--04.
