OXFORD,
Ohio ? Miami University’s
women’s swimming and diving team remains atop the CSCAA/CollegeSwimming.com
Mid-Major Division I rankings, and is getting votes in the Division I Coaches
Top 25 Poll.
Sporting
an unblemished record against its Mid-Major Division I opponents and capturing
the Miami Invitational earlier this month, Coach Dave Jennings’s RedHawks lead
Harvard in the December Mid-Major rankings, 254.0 to 250.2. Miami Invitational
foes Florida Gulf
Coast and Oakland are No. 6 and 9, respectively, in
that poll. Kenyon, the CSCAA’s top-rated Division III team, was defeated in its
home pool by Miami
in mid November.
Georgia
is No. 1 in the NCAA Division I poll, and Miami
is one of 13 non-Top 25 teams?and the only Mid-American Conference school?that
received votes (3).
Miami
puts its No. 1 status on the line on January 16 when it travels to Cincinnati to meet UC.
The RedHawks host No. 11 Ohio on January 24.
