Schuth had a perfect week for the Bobcats, going 2-0 to improve his season record to 7-2 at 184 pounds, as he scored two overtime victories in Ohio's two dual meets last week. He won a 4-3 sudden victory over Northern Illinois' Brad Dieckhaus to help Ohio to a one-point road win and followed it up with a 7-5 overtime defeat of Michigan State's Nick Palmieri. Schuth has been battling injury and only recently returned to Ohio's starting line-up.

Rock captured the 174-lb championship at the 40th Annual New York State Intercollegiate Wrestling Championships. As the second-seed , Rock dominated his first match of the day with a 16-1 technical fall at 3:22 over Ryan Malloy of Wagner. Looking to continue in his pursuit of the title, Rock was victorious over seventh-seed, Pat Bell of Nassau CC in an 8-0 major decision. Rock defeated third-seed, Naum Shuminov of NYU in the semifinals with a 4-0 decision. Advancing to the championship match, Rock faced Ryan Mergen of Army. Rock scored a convincing 6-1 decision over Mergen, which helped the Bulls win the team title by fending off a wrestler from second-place finisher, Army.

Beebe won both of his matches as the Chippewas defeated Bloomsburg and No. 24 Pitt last week. On Saturday, he posted a 5-0 decision against Bloomsburg's Jason Guffey. He followed that with an 8-2 decision over 14th-ranked Jimmy Conroy of Pitt on Sunday.

Clair won a second consecutive major decision, 10-2, against Mike Grey of No. 2 Cornell Saturday, Jan. 18.Clair has won 7-of-9 matches in a recent stretch to improve his season record to 9-5.
Jermail Porter ? Kent State

Porter defeated ninth ranked Rashard Goff of Cleveland State 6-3. The match was tied 2-2 after two periods, however in the third it was all Porter. Starting down, Porter escaped and took a 4-2 advantage when Goff was called for hands to the head. Porter put the exclamation point on the match with a takedown and the 6-3 win. The win was Porter's 108th career win, which moves him to fifth in Kent State history in career wins.
