Sophomore - Uniontown, Ohio (Uniontown Lake HS)

174 lbs.

Miller won both of his matches last week as CMU defeated No. 5 Missouri and Northern Illinois. At Missouri, Miller handed No. 5-ranked Raymond Jordan just his third loss of the season with a 2-1 decision. Against NIU, Miller posted his first fall of the season against the Huskies' Derrick Yant. Miller is tied for the team lead in victories (22-6 overall) and has won 12 of his last 13 matches.

Junior - Natick, Mass./Natick

197 lbs.
Hamel went 2-0 on the week, defeating Edinboro’s Pat Bradshaw 7-5 in overtime, and Hofstra’s Joe Fagiano, also by a 7-5 score. In his win over Bradshaw, who edged Hamel 4-3 earlier in the year at the Reno Tournament of Champions, Hamel scored the match-winning points on a takedown with three seconds remaining. Bradshaw had forced OT with an escape as time expired for a 5-5 tie.

David Pienaar ? Eastern Michigan

Junior - Trafford, Pa. (Greensburg Central Catholic)

141 lbs.

Pienaar turned-in the best performance of the day for the Eagles Sunday, a 10-2 major decision over KSU's Adam Haas. Pienaar built-up a 5-0 lead through two periods and closed out his opponent in the third with another five points including riding time.

 

Dustin Kilgore ? Kent State
rs-Freshman ? Berea, Ohio (Berea HS)

184 pounds
Kilgore went 2-0 on the week as he defeated Erik Schuth of Ohio by major decision 16-8 and won by fall over Derek Foore of Eastern Michigan in 5:37. Tied-6-6 with Ohio, Kilgore stepped to the mats and recorded six takedowns and a reversal to win by eight over Schuth. With Kent State trailing 6-0 on Sunday at Eastern Michigan, Kilgore stepped to the mats and pinned Foore to tie the match at 6-6. Kilgore’s win was the first in a five-match winning streak for the Golden Flashes.

 

Bryan Deutsch ? Northern Illinois

Sophomore 

Columbia City, Ind. (Columbia City HS)

157 lbs.

Deutsch won his 16th match of the season with a 4-3 decision over Central Michigan's Eric Cubberly. Deutsch evened his Mid-American Conference record at 2-2 with the victory.

 

Clay Tucker ? Ohio

Junior - Martins Ferry, Ohio (Martins Ferry)

157 lbs.

Tucker was a perfect 2-0 on the weekend, improving his season record to 18-14 at 157 pounds. Tucker defeated Kent State's Ross Tice on Friday in a convincing 9-3 decision, upping his MAC record to 2-1. Tice was ranked ahead of Tucker in the latest MAC rankings. Then on Saturday, he won a 7-1 decision over West Virginia's Ryan Goodman to earn his team-leading 18th win of the year. He was the only Bobcat to go undefeated on the road trip.
