Kevin Hayward went 4-0 in one day of competition against MAC foe Buffalo and Binghamton of the America East Conference on Saturday. Hayward was undefeated at No. 1 singles taking down Nikesh Singh Panthlia of Buffalo 6-3, 6-2 and Faisal Mohamed of Binghamton 6-3, 6-1. Hayward is now 11-5 at No. 1 singles this season. Hayward and Casey Cullen also won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles against Buffalo and 9-8 at No. 2 doubles against Binghamton to move to 24-2 this season as a tandem. Hayward is now 129-50 overall in his career for a .721 winning percentage.
Ezra Bernstein, Buffalo
In his lone match over the weekend, Bernstein clinched the winning point inUB's come-from-behind 4-3 win against Binghamton on Sunday. Bernstein,
playing sixth singles, defeated Binghamton's Andreas Danielsson in three sets, 2-6, 7-5, 6-2.
Brian Livingston, Northern Illinois
Northern Illinois junior Brian Livingston extended his singles winning streak to nine matches with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 come-from-behind victory over Southern Illinois' Lucas Waked. Livingston later teamed up with Adam Ford for the 8-0 whitewash of Waked and Anton Leonenko at No. 1 doubles. For the season, Livingston is 17-5 in singles play, while he and Ford are 15-6 in doubles action.
Wade Ward, Toledo
Ward won all four of his matches vs. Butler and Wayne State in the Rockets route to winning two. He partnered with junior Jay Miller against Butlers Brandon Bayliss and Sam Brown for the 8-3 win. Wade then teamed with freshman Gursher Harika for the 8-2 victory over Wayne States Marlon Leone and Kevin Turnball. In singles Wade played at the No. 4 spot against WSU and No. 6 spot against BU. Wade is 15-9 in singles and on a four-match personal win streak.
