Eastern Michigan Tied For 13th After One Day at NCAA Men's Golf East Regional

ALPHARETTA, Ga. ? The Eastern Michigan University men’s golf team shot a first-round 300 Thursday to stand in a 13th-place tie among 27 teams at the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf East Regional. Georgia Tech is leading the regional event with its 284 at the 7,017-yard, par 72 Lakeside Course at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, while the Yellowjackes’ Cameron Tringale is the opening day individual leader with his round of five-under par 67. The second round of the three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on Friday at the course located near Atlanta, Ga.
EMU is being led by junior Graham Hill with his opening round of one-over par 73 to stand in a tie for 23rd place individually among the 141 golfers. Hill is followed by sophomore Christopher Ross (75, t-51), redshirt freshman Brandon Lemons (76, t-68), senior Bryan Haase (76, t-68), along with freshman Cam Burke (77, t-79).

The second round of the East Regional begins at 7 a.m. Friday, with the final round scheduled for Saturday. Live online scoring of the tournament can be followed at www.golfstat.com.
