Gavier turned in both the record for lowest individual round in Kent State history (65) as well as the lowest individual tournament score in program records (208), besting both records by one stroke in placing third overall at the prestigious Mercedes-Benz Women's Collegiate Championship, hosted by the University of Tennessee. With her seven-under 65 on Sunday, which included eight birdies, Kent State finished third in a highly-competitive tournament field.

Kristen Hill led the Zips to their first team title in program history at the Third Annual Zippy Invitational. Hill, trailing the individual leader by three strokes on the final day, fired a 3-over 75 to finish one shot behind the top medalist and help Akron to a four-stroke victory. Her second-round 73 (+1) tied for the low round of the tournament.

Susy Grunden captured her third top-three finish of the 2010 season at the Zippy Invitational. Her opening-round 74 was the second-best individual round of the tournament, as nobody scored lower than 73 in any of the tournament's three rounds.

Heather Farr Memorial Tournament, Par 72

Senior Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion) finished tied for sixth place with a 226. Amidst thunderstorms in the area on the first day, Peters fired an opening total of 70 to hold down the top spot on the leader board after 18 holes.

Finished second at the 76-player Huskie Classic... tied her career-low by firing a 73 in the opening round... was a member of the record setting Huskie fivesome, which broke a 19-year old NIU record for 18-hole team low with a 296... her 73 was the second-lowest score of the day... fired a solid 78 on day two to place second at the tournament... was NIU's top player, leading the Huskies to a second place finish among the 12-team field.

Weaver recorded her second top-10 finish in three events, tying for sixth at the Zippy Invitational. Her 236 over the three rounds was a team low, and she now has three top-20 finishes this fall. Weaver also leads Ohio in stroke average.
