MAC Announces 2011 Women's Tennis Academic All-MAC Team

Cleveland, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the 2011 Women's Tennis Academic All-MAC Team as voted by the league Faculty Athletic Representatives with eight student-athletes named.

Heading the list were three-time Academic All-MAC selections Christine Chiricosta of Bowling Green and Amanda Moccia of Western Michigan.  Both Chiricosta and Moccia were Academic All-MAC selections in 2009, 2010 and the 2011 seasons.

Joining Chiricosta from the Falcons was sophomore Maddy Eccleston, and joining Moccia from the Broncos is junior Rachel Denny.  MAC regular season champion Miami was represented by junior Stephanie Danesis, while MAC tournament champion Akron was represented by sophomore's Angelika Jogasuria and Prang Pantusart. Toledo senior Ashley Frey represented the Rockets on the 2011 Academic All-MAC team. 

Nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team.
