MAC Men's Swimmer of the Week
Alex Reinhardt, Miami - Freshman, Littleton, Colo. (Regis Jesuit High School)
Freshman Alex Reinhardt won two events in one meet as Miami defeated Ball State by a score of 140- to 97. Reinhardt had a season-best time of 9:53.72 to finish first in the 1000 freestyle, then returned later in the dual meet to win the 500 freestyle (4:45.55). Miami finished its dual meet competition with a record of 4-6-1 overall, 2-3-1 against MAC teams.

Ben Battjes, Ball State - Senior, Elkhart, Ind. (Elkhart Memorial High School)
Senior Ben Battjes led the Cardinals in a 1-2-3 effort in the 50 freestyle in Saturday's meet versus Miami, posting a first-place time of 21.52. Battjes also placed second in the 100 freestyle (47.64) and swam the first leg of the first-place 200 freestyle relay which clocked in at 1:25.64.
Matt Schwippert, Buffalo - Freshman, East Aurora, N.Y. (Iroquois High School)
Freshman Matt Schwippert earned a season-best time and a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (1:50.82) against Penn State. Schwippert also tied a season-best time in the 200 IM (1:56.02), where he picked up third-place points for Buffalo.
Jacob Hanson, Eastern Michigan - Freshman, Bloomington, Ill.
Freshman Jacob Hanson led the Eagles to two wins last Friday against Ohio State. Hanson edged Ohio State's Itai Chammah by four-hundredths of a second in the 200-yard backstroke, winning with a time of 1:49.28. Later in the meet, he helped Eastern Michigan's 400-yard free relay team to a win, posting a time of 3:09.25.
