MAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Vicki Traven, Toledo, Goalkeeper
Sophomore, St. Charles, IL (North)
Traven did not give up a goal in 200 minutes of competition between the posts this weekend as Toledo went 1-0-1. At DePaul on Friday, Traven finished with a season-high six stops in 110 minutes. Two days later, she recorded three saves in a 1-0 shutout win against the Ramblers.

Other Nominees

Alyssa Zuccaro, Bowling Green, Forward
Sophomore, Mentor, Ohio (Mentor)

Was involved in the scoring of both BGSU goals in Friday's win over Indiana State. Gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead with a goal just 4:53 into the match. Then, early in the second half, stole the ball deep in the ISU end of the field and fed Megan Amann for what turned out to be the match-winning goal. Now has career totals of six goals and 14 points. Only a sophomore, she is second among active Falcons in career goals scored.

Amy Coron, Buffalo, Goalkeeper
Senior, Farmington, NY (Victor)
Coron had nine saves in two games and finished the weekend with a .750 save percentage. With the nine saves on the weekend, Coron now ranks second on UB's all-time career saves list with 348.

Bailey Brandon, Central Michigan, Defender
Freshman, Livonia, Mich. (Livonia Churchill)

Played solid defensively in a pair of tight matches over the weekend. Registered a team defensive save to prevent a St. Bonaventure goal in CMU's 1-0 victory on Friday. Nearly created the game-tying tally in Sunday's match against Indiana when her throw-in narrowly missed a teammate at the goal mouth in the final minute.

Amanada Marsh, Eastern Michigan, Midfielder
Sophomore, Dexter, Mich.

Marsh scored the game-winning goal in a, 2-1, win vs. Indiana State on Sunday afternoon. In the 89th-minute, the sophomore took a deep throw in and flicked it past the keeper to move EMU to 2-0 on the young season.

Beth Diederich, Kent State, Defender
Senior, Pittsburgh, Pa. (Upper St. Clair)

Diederich scored her first goal since her freshman campaign in 2006 with a header off a corner kick in the 6th minute against Cleveland State Aug. 28.

Lindsey Curnock, Northern Illinois, Goalkeeper
Senior, Batavia, Ill. (Batavia)

Curnock helped lead NIU to a win over Valparaiso Friday night, recording two saves in the game for the Huskies, a 1-0 win over the Cardinals. While the Huskies lost to Southeast Missouri State, 1-0, Sunday afternoon, Curnock posted four saves on-the-game. NIU's shutout Friday night, marks Curnocks 26th-career shutout.
