Danielle Brown ? Western Michigan
Senior - Kalamazoo, Mich./Kalamazoo Central HS
Brown's first place time in the 400m hurdles was over one second faster than Alabama's Talaya Owens at 59.9, who finished in second place, at the Alabama Relays (Competitive teams: Alabama, Ole Miss, UAB, Indiana). In addition, she also competed in the 100m hurdles - 4th - 13.94; 4x400m relay - 2nd - 3:40.21 and Shuttle Hurdle Relay - 3rd - 58.26. The 400m hurdle time of 58.46 met a set a regional qualifying mark. 4x400 relay time of 3:40.21 also set a regional qualifying mark. 100m hurdle time of 13.94 was .02 from setting a regional qualifying mark.

Stevi Large ? Akron
Senior ? Somorset, Ohio (Sheridan HS)
Large, one of two student-athletes to post an NCAA Regional mark at the LSU Relays, shattered her own UA and MAC record in the hammer by over seven feet with a throw of 215-0 (65.53). Her previous record was 207-9. As if Large’s effort was not impressive enough, but she beat second place by nearly 28 feet as LSU’s Kim Williams qualified for the NCAA Regional with a throw of 187-03 (57.08). Large also won the discus with an NCAA Regional mark of 160-7 (48.94). The LSU Relays included teams such as LSU, Baylor, Memphis, and Texas Christian.

Autumn Dettmann finished first in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:48.40, finishing two seconds better than the rest of the competition. The sophomore helped the Orange and Brown capture the UT Collegiate Challenge Championship.
Kara Black ? Buffalo
Junior ? Grand Island, NY/Grand Island
Ran the lead off leg of both the sprint medley relay and the 4x200 relay. Set personal best time in the 400m. Black competed in three events - Sprint Medley Relay, 4:01.39, 2nd of 24; 4x200m relay, 1:40.60, 13th of 27; 400m, 57.60, 22nd of 99.
Stephanie Hurley ? Central Michigan
Freshman - Bay City, Mich/John Glenn HS
At the Toledo Collegiate Invitational. Hurley won the 400m in 57.71. Hurley also competed a leg in each of the 4x100 and 4x400 relays for the Chippewas.
Beverly Elcock ? Eastern Michigan
Sophomore - Ft. Wayne, Ind.-Northrop
Sophomore Beverly Elcock set an NCAA Regional qualifying mark at the 2009 Stanford Invitational, running 2:09.61. Her time ranks her second in the conference and was good for a 4th place finish in her heat and 12th overall.
Jessica Lhotsky ? Kent State
Junior ? Medina, Ohio/Highland
Lhotsky placed third in the women’s 800 meters with a NCAA Regional qualifying time of 2:09.48 at the Reebok Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State University on Saturday (3/28). Lhotsky’s time ranks seventh on the Golden Flashes’ all-time list.
Amanda Mirochna ? Miami
Junior - Naperville, Ill./Nequa Valley
In her steeplechase debut, she was 2nd to 5-time All-American and Olympic Trials finalist Nicole Bush. Her time (10:59.13) moves her to No. 3 on the all-time Miami top-10 list and is just nine seconds off the NCAA regional mark...her time is the best in the conference so far this spring (as of scores entered Mon night). Miami won the South Florida Quad defeating the host Bulls of the Big East, the Big Ten's Michigan State and Northeastern of the Colonial.

Sophomore - Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville
Brittani McNeal began the outdoor track and field season with a bang, capturing first in both the long jump and triple jump, helping the Falcons capture first-place at the UT Collegiate Challenge. The sophomore recorded a mark of 18-07.75 in the long jump and 36-08.25 in the triple jump.

Freshman - Syracuse, NY/Henninger
White led UB's weight throwers by setting two personal bests in the hammer and shot put competitions at the Raleigh Relays. She competed in the Hammer, 164-10 (50.25m), 3rd; and Shot put, 44-8.25 (13.62m) 9th.
Norianna Brown ? Central Michigan
Sophomore - Port Huron/ Port Huron HS
At the Toledo Collegiate Invitational, Brown finished second in both the shot put (46-11 ½) and the discus (135-4). Brown became a regional qualifier in the shot put event.
Brittni Borrero ? Kent State
Junior - Cumberland, Ohio/Buckeye Trail
Borrero won the women’s discus with NCAA Regional qualifying toss of 161’-7” at the Weems Baskin Relays at the University of South Carolina on Saturday (2/28). Borrero’s toss ranks ninth on the Golden Flashes’ all-time list.
Samantha Gable ? Miami
Freshman - Greenfield, Ind./Greenfield Central
Gable competed in Shot put (1st/42-09.50), Discus (7th/122-08), and Hammer (4th/158-00) at the South Florida Quad (Michigan State, South Florida, Northeastern). The freshmen scored 18 points for the RedHawks. Her hammer performance is eighth on the Miami All-Time top 10 list.
Emily Amendola ? Ohio
Junior - Beach City, Ohio/Fairless
Amendola broke her school record in the hammer throw and set an NCAA Regional qualifying mark with her heave of 186-04 to win the event at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational - 10 schools.
Irene Cooper ? Western Michigan
Junior - Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Lahser HS
Cooper mirrored her performance at last season's Alabama Relays by both winning and turning in a regional qualifying distance in the hammer throw with a distance of 184-01.
