MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Cathryn Collins ? Akron
Junior - Hilton Head, S.C.
Collins tallied four individual victories and assisted the Akron relay team with an additional top finish in competition last weekend. In Akron’s win over Youngstown State (155-77), the junior recorded first place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly swimming for first in a time of 58.70 and the 200-yard individual medley with a 2:10.16 timestamp. Collins would add two top place marks in Akron’s loss at Oakland (175-125) with first place finishes in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events (1:53.96, 5:03.23). Collins would also contribute to a 400-yard freestyle relay victory for the Akron “A” team which finished first with a 3:33.06 mark.
MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Chris Heaton ? Miami
Senior - Centerville, Ohio/Centerville
Heaton dominated diving events for Miami University last weekend, winning three of the four events in which he entered. On Friday at Ohio State, Heaton won the three-meter diving competition with a score of 385.58. On Saturday vs. Cleveland State and Notre Dame, Heaton won the only events for the RedHawks, sweeping the one- and three-meter diving competitions with scores of 341.7 and 385.35, respectively.

Samantha Partridge ? Eastern Michigan
Freshman - Carmel, Ind.-Carmel
In the two-day Purdue Challenge, Partridge won the 1000 free while finishing runner-up in both the 200 and 500 free races. The freshman also hit the wall fourth in the 200 fly in addition to being part of the third place 400 free relay team.
Alyson Schmidt ? Miami
Senior - Maineville, Ohio/Maineville
Alyson Schmidt was victorious in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles (:23.87 and :52.24), then teamed with senior Malarie Schmidt and sophomores Megan Brunn and Allison Way to win the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:47.19.
Ashley Marion ? Ohio
London, Ontario/Banting Secondary School
Ashley led Ohio to a 117-88 victory at Youngstown State over the weekend. She swam the lead-off leg (backstroke) on Ohio's winning 200 medley relay team (1:51.92) in a split of 27.91 and finished first in the 400 individual medley in 4:28.50, the fastest time in the MAC this season by almost three seconds.

Against Purdue in the two-day Purdue Challenge, he won the 200 fly while finishing runner-up in the 100 fly on the individual side. Fulkerson was also part of the runner-up 400 medley relay team while helping the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay teams to third place finishes.
