Novak compiled a perfect 4-0 record during the week. He pinned Heath Allen (Ohio) 1:31, won a decision over Matt Oliver (Newberry) 8-5, decisioned Daniel Rucker (Campbellsville) 14-5, Defeated Sean Katz (Liberty) 5-3. In his first career dual and Mid-American Conference match, Novak scored pin over Allen (Ohio).

Bedelyon, a true freshman, avenged a 2007 NHSCA Senior Nationals loss to Jason Lara of Michigan in the Golden Flashes' 26-14 setback to the Wolverines. Bedelyon's 14-3 major decision got the Flashes rolling against Michigan, and he has compiled an 8-2 record through his first 10 collegiate matches.

Erik Schuth won the first MAC dual of his career on Dec. 6, defeating Eastern Michigan's Charlie Pienaar 4-3 at 184 pounds. Schuth, a NY state champion at Brockport High School, has been Ohio's starter at 184 since day one.
