University of Akron sophomore Kristen Hill posted rounds of 73-70-72 to finish 1-under-par 215 and win medalist honors at the Canes and Cardinal Classic at Don Shula's Country Club Tuesday. Hill, who began the day with a four-stroke lead, held off Maryland's Christine Shimel, who was two-under for her final round and finished two strokes back at 217, to claim her second win in five spring events this season. In all, it is the third win of Hill's two-year career at UA. Hill's second-round score (70) matched a career best and is a season low. It also was the third time the Florida native has recorded a sub-par round overall.

Longaberger Spring Challenge Cup

Marisa Glew helped score two of the Falcons three points at the Longaberger Spring Challenge Cup in Nashport, Ohio. Her and teammate Paula DiFrancesco won the alternate shot in the morning versus Ohio for one point and then the junior won her singles match play event in the afternoon versus the Bobcats.
