All-around

Simon sparkled once again for Central Michigan last weekend, scoring 39.125 in the all-around to finish third in the competition at a triangular meet with Pittsburgh and No. 19-ranked Missouri. She placed in the top five individually in three of four events, taking third on the vault with a 9.800 and nabbing a pair of fifth-place finishes with a 9.750 on the floor exercise and a 9.825 on the uneven bars. Her bars score was a new career-high on that event. Simon now owns the top two all-around scores in the MAC this season.

 

 

Specialist of the Week

Jennifer Naughton

Northern Illinois

Naughton put together strong performances on all three of her events in NIU*s first MAC win of the season versus Eastern Michigan.  Naughton won the balance beam with a 9.800 score, tied for third on floor exercise with a 9.775 mark and was fourth on the vault with a 9.725.

Naughton has NIU*s top scores on the vault, beam and floor this season.

Espinoza had two very strong routines at a triangular meet with Pittsburgh and No. 19-ranked Missouri, scoring 9.775 on the balance beam and 9.750 on the floor exercise. She finished in a tie for fifth place individually with her floor score.
