MOUNT PLEASANT -- Dietrich Enns became the fourth player in Central Michigan baseball program history to earn Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors on Wednesday.

The left-hander finished the season at 7-0 with a 2.12 ERA. He currently ranks second in the nation in fewest hits allowed per nine innings and 13th in ERA. His 9.1 strikeouts per nine innings also ranks among the nation's elite at No. 58.

The Frankfort, Ill., native earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors and was the first player in program history to be named MAC Freshman of the Year.

The Chippewas (36-22, 20-7 MAC) won their 12th MAC title in 2010, the most of any conference member since joining the league in 1973.
