Chillicothe, Ohio --Bowling Green launched three homeruns and received quality pitching from a combination of Nick Bruns, Patrick Martin and Patrick O'Brien to defeat Central Michigan, 7-3. With the win, the Falcons force an elmination game against the Chippewas tomorrow. The winner of the game will play in the MAC Championship Final.

Bowling Green scored first in the bottom of the first inning on a balk but Central Michigan answered right back in the top of the next inning as Dale Cornstubble blasted a shot over the left field wall to even things up 1-1.

The Falcons increased their lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth as BGSU put runners on second and third after a failed pickoff attempt. Bowling Green capitalized on the mistake as Jon Berti scored on a Clay Duncan groundout to the pitcher, while Mark Galvin scored on a sacrifice fly but Matt Pitzulo to give BGSU the advantage.

In the bottom of the sixth inning the Falcons blew the game wide open as Matt Pitzulo smashed a 2-run homerun to dead center to give BGSU a 5-1 lead.

BGSU's T.J. Blanton and Dennis Vaughn went back-to-back with homeruns in the bottom of the seventh inning to increase the Falcon lead to 7-1.

The Chippewas received a bit of life from the bat of Scott Phillion in the top of the eighth after he launched a two-run shot over the left field wall. However, those were the only runs that CMU could muster for the rest of the game and the Falcons picked up the win.

Bruns went three innings and gave up one run on three hits, while Martin picked up the win (2-1) and gave up two runs on five hits in five innings for the Falcons. Zach Cooper took the loss (4-3) for Central Michigan.
