Western Michigan Picked To Defend Its MAC Men's Tennis Championship

Cleveland, OH - In the preseason poll conducted among the Mid-American Conference men's tennis coaches, Western Michigan was the overwhelming choice to capture both the regular season title and the MAC Tournament championship.
The Broncos are the defending regular season and tournament champion and were a unanimous selection to defend both titles. Last season Western Michigan earned its fourth consecutive MAC title over Toledo. The 2010 tournament is scheduled for April 29-May 2 in Muncie, Ind.
Returning first-team All MAC selections from last year are juniors Michael Calderone and Kazuya Komada from Western Michigan, and junior Eduardo Pavia from Ball State. Returning second-team All MAC selections from last year include sophomore Cliff Morrison of Ball State, junior Marcello Mazzetto and senior Kirill Kolomyts of Buffalo, senior Javier Bernabe of Northern Illinois and junior Knot Likitumchorn of Toledo.
The complete voting totals are as follows with four of the six head coaches casting votes.
