Britney Hamilton sank four birdies, including two on her final three holes to charge from a tie for ninth heading into the final round all the way to her second-straight second-place finish to close out the fall campaign. The junior carded a career low round of 2-under par 70 to finish one stroke back of medalist at the 2009 MAC Preview at Hawthorns Golf & Country Club. Heading into the final round Hamilton was four shots in back of 36-hole leader Kristen Hill of the University of Akron. Bradley's Breanne Neufeld was only one stroke back of the lead heading into the final 18 holes. Hamilton and Nuefeld each carded four birdies but Neufeld's cushion held as Hamilton's attempt at the come-from-behind win fell one stroke short.

Hill carded an 11-over par 227 (74-75-78) for fourth place individually at the Duramed MAC Preview in Fishers, Ind., for her second top-five finish in as many weeks.

Brittany Kelly led Ball State's women's golf team to the team championship at the Duramed MAC Preview, which included all the MAC teams that sponsor women's golf except Kent State. Kelly placed third as an individual, while leading the Cardinals to the tournament title by two strokes over Eastern Michigan.

Freshman Susannah Grunden led the pack for Bowling Green at the Duramed MAC Preview. Grunden carded a 233 (79-78-76) to finish in a tie for 11th place. Her score was only four shots shy of landing in the top five. Grunden has now carded nine sub-80 rounds out of her 11 for the season, including an active streak of seven in a row. She also improved her season per-round average to 77.91, which is on pace to be a new school record.

Freshman Emily Podzielinski notched tied for seventh place with a with a 54-hole total of 231 (77-79-75) for her third career top 10 finish. The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team fired the lowest round of the day 305 to charge into second place at the Duramed Mid-American Conference Preview Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 13, here at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club. The Green and White finished with a two-day mark of 935 (311-319-305) just behind Ball State University, which won the tournament title at 933 (313-305-315).

Bradley tied for the team lead at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational, posting a nine-over par, 225 for the 54-hole event. She carded the low round of the weekend for the Flashes, posting an even-par, 72 in the second round. Bradley has paced Kent State in both of its fall tournaments.
