Cleveland -- The Academic All-MAC Men’s tennis team as voted by league Faculty Athletic Representatives was announced today with eight student-athletes named.
Heading the list was Toledo’s Jared Miller, who was honored for the third consecutive season, and Northern Illinois’ Javier Bernabe, who was the only other repeat honoree from last year’s team.
League champion Western Michigan placed three honorees in the sophomore trio of Michael Claderone, Casey Cullen, and Kazuya Komada. Toledo had a league-high four selections as joining Miller were his Rocket teammates Sven Burus, Gursher Harika, and Nutthavit Likitkumkorn.
Nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team.
