MAC Announces Academic All-MAC Women's Tennis Team

Cleveland -- The Academic All-MAC Women’s tennis team as voted by league Faculty Athletic Representatives was announced today with eight student-athletes named.

Leading the way with three selections was league regular season champion Western Michigan as Kerstin Pahl, Priyanka Parekh and Noriko Saruta were honored.

Bowling Green had two selections as Kelsey Jakupcin and Stefanie Menoff were honored. MAC Tournament champion Buffalo was represented by Denise Harijanto.

Rounding out the squad are Vanessa Frankowski of Eastern Michigan and Jennifer Pollack of Ball State.

Pollack, Menoff, Pahl and Parekh were honored as academic all-conference selections for the second consecutive year.

This year’s academic honorees who were also selected All-MAC are Pollack (BSU), Jakupcin (BG), Harijanto (UB), Frankowski (EMU), and Pahl, Parekh and Saruta from WMU.

Nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team.
