Rhodes was the top Mid-American Conference golfer at the Marshall Invitational April 5. The tournament was shortened to a one-day, 36-hole event due to inclement weather. Of the five MAC schools participating, Rhodes score of 72-70 tied him for 14th overall and made him the top MAC golfer in the field. Ball State and Miami University tied for ninth in the 17-team field, which was the best team finish for the MAC participants.

Over the two day 54-hole tournament, Clemente finished tied for 39th and first for the Zips. He has finished every spring tournament with the lowest score of any Zip.
Matt Schneider, Bowling Green, So., Grand Rapids, Minn.
Marshall Invitational

Finish: T-23
Schneider fired back-to-back 72's at the 2008 Marshall Invitational this past weekend in the weather shortened event. Playing in less then ideal playing conditions the Grand Rapids, Minn., native finished the Marshall Invitational at 2-over par.

For the second straight week, Ben Wood was Miami’s top finisher at the Marshall Invitational. The event was shortened to 36 holes due to poor weather conditions. Wood fired rounds of 72 and 71 to finish at on over par 143 to tie for 16th place. The finish marked his fourth top-20 finish of the season. He was coming off a third-place tie at the Hoosier Invitational the previous week.
