MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Paul Ricard ? Miami
Senior - Bowling Green, Ohio (Bowling Green)
Paul Ricard led the RedHawks to a dual meet win over Cincinnati and he recorded four Top two finishes in four different events during the week. Against Cincinnati, Ricard registered a time of 9:355.99 in the 1000 freestyle that earned him a first-place finish by over two seconds. One event later, Ricard finished in second place in the 200 freestyle and he missed back-to-back first-place finishes as he lost the 200 free by eight-one-hundreths of a second. Later in the meet, Ricard avenged his loss in the 200 free as he notched a come-from-behind win in the 500 freestyle. Trailing with 25 yards remaining, Ricard made up lost ground and defeated Cincinnati's Nathan Williams by one-tenth of a second, which was Miami's first winning event since Ricard won the 1000 free.
