Getting to Know...Miami's Brooke Livingston
Brooke Livingston is a senior defender for the Miami RedHawks. Last season as a junior, she made First Team All-MAC and finished the year with two goals while helping her team record eight shutouts. In Miami's season-opening win over Alabama A&M, she was part of a defensive effort that only allowed three shots the entire match. Brooke and the RedHawks will return to action Friday night with a 9 p.m. neutral-site game versus Chattanooga in the Lady Govs Invitational at Austin Peay. Their second game of the weekend will come Sunday with a noon kick against Western Illinois.

1. What is your favorite beverage/food/dessert?
My favorite food is sushi and my favorite dessert is ANYTHING with chocolate. 

2. What were you up to this summer?
This summer I hiked to Mount Everest Base Camp as a part of my senior capstone with my two best friends and teammates, Rachel and Jessica Byron.

3. What would your ideal job be?
(Outside of playing sports professionally) My ideal job would be a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.

4. What's the best part of being a Division I athlete?
The best thing about being a Division I athlete is having the opportunity to represent and compete for Miami with love and honor.

5. What's your dream as a college athlete?
My dream as a collegiate athlete is to win a MAC Championship my senior year!

6. Who was your greatest athletic influence?
My greatest athletic influence was my older sister, Brittany, who was a gymnast at Ohio State.  I truly admired her work ethic and relentless dedication to the sport.

7. What are your hobbies and off-the-field interests?
Off-the-field I enjoy running, scrap booking, and listening to country music. 

8. What is one movie you could watch over and over again and not get sick of?
I could watch my Best Friend's Wedding a million times and never get sick of it...I love Julia Roberts!

9. What is your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is Christmas...I love the snow, twinkle lights, delicious food, shopping, ice skating downtown Chicago, and spending time with my family.

10. What is your most memorable moment in sports, either as an athlete or sports fan?
The most memorable moment in my athletic career was being able to play & defend my little sister, Lauren, and scoring on a header goal when we faced BGSU last year at home.
