Senior C.J. Brown helped Western Michigan go undefeated this weekend, as the Broncos are off to the best start since the 2003 MAC championship season. Brown totaled three goals (one game winner) off the bench in wins over Niagara and IPFW. Brown tallied his first goal of the season in the 58th minute against Niagara Friday, then netted two more Sunday. Brown found the back of the net just minutes after entering the game against IPFW, scoring in the 31st minute. Again coming off the bench in the second half, Brown broke a 2-2 tie scoring the eventual game-winner in the 69th minute. The pair of wins pushed WMU to 4-1-0 on the season.

Mattocks assisted the game-winner, then added a goal of his own as the No. 1 University of Akron men's soccer team opened Mid-American Conference play with a 2-0 victory at Bowling Green. The true freshman striker from Kingston, Jamaica, fed Kofi Sarkodie in the 64th minute to break a scoreless tie before providing the game's final margin in the 81st with his second goal in as many games. In all, Mattocks recorded a game-high six shots against the Falcons with three on frame.

Had a career-high 11 saves in the Falcons' 2-0 loss to the number-one-ranked team in the nation ... combined with the BGSU defenders to keep Akron off of the scoreboard for over two-thirds of the match ... UA scored on a rebound in the 64th minute, then added an insurance goal with under 10 minutes remaining ... now has 21 saves and a goals-against average of 1.16 this season to date.

Storan scored the game-winning goal in UB's 1-0 win over Canisius. He scored off a direct kick at 19:50 as a Canisius player was assessed a yellow card.

Lukas Simons, Florida Atlantic, Defender

Simons scored his first two collegiate goals in big spots over the weekend for FAU.  The true freshman tallied a second-half equalizer in a 1-1 draw against Georgia State on Friday night and followed it up with a late winner in Sunday's 2-1 victory over Wisconsin.    The Miami native is tied with last year's top goal scorer Darnell King with two tallies this season.

Summers continued his recent run of form to score his 3rd goal in 3 games Friday night v. Columbia.  Summers opened the scoring before the match ended 2-2.

Scored the first two goals of his career in Northern Illinois' 2-0 win over Cleveland State... beat three defenders before placing the game-winning goal far post... posted the insurance goal after outmaneuvering a defender off a goal kick.
