MAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Kathryn Friedlund ? Northern Illinois

Friedlund posted wins in both singles and doubles in Northern Illinois' 5-2 win over in-state rival Bradley last Friday (March 6). At the No. 2 doubles position, Friedlund teamed up with Emily Rogers to post an 8-7 win. Then, at No. 2 singles, she dished out a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win over Bradley's Veronika Wojakowska.

With her singles and doubles wins over IPFW on Sunday, Harutyunyan became the single-season wins leader in the 33-year history of the UA program, with her 54th and 55th victories of the year. She broke the record of 54 set by Mendy McMurtry in the 1990-91 season. The doubles win was also her 19th straight this season when paired with sophomore Anna Baronayte, and her singles victory improved her record in dual-match play to 12-0 this season.
