MAC Names Men's Tennis Players of the Week

MAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week (two honorees)

 

Eduardo Pavia ? Ball State

Sophomore  - Carolina, Puerto Rico

Pavia at No. 2 singles captured a 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) victory over Mehdi Bouras.  Pavia has now improved his overall record to 8-3 on the season.  UNLV was ranked 59th in the nation when Pavia earned his singles victory.

 

Jonathan Sutjiadi, Chicago State, Sr.

Sutjiadi helped the Cougars edge Youngstown State, 4-3, at home last week with a pair of wins. He opened the match by teaming with sophomore Aumir Ahmad to capture their No. 2 doubles match by a score of 8-5 for the double point. Sutjiaidi followed that with 6-3, 2-0 lead in No. 1 singles before his opponent retired in the second set for the win.
