Central Michigan def. Missouri State, 2-0
In Sunday's game two of the Missouri State field hockey team's weekend series with Central Michigan, the Bears fell 2-0 at Plaster Field. The loss drops the Bears to 6-12 on the season, 1-6 in Mid-American Conference play. Central Michigan improves to 6-10, 5-4 in the MAC. MORE

 

Kent State def. Ball State, 3-1

Stephanie Bernthal and MaryKate Hanosek could not haved asked for anything more on Senior Day as Kent State topped Ball State 3-1 Sunday afternoon (Oct. 26) at Murphy-Mellis Field. Twenty years after winning the program’s first Mid-American Conference championship, the Golden Flashes (14-4, 8-1 MAC) claimed their ninth MAC regular season title. MORE

 

Miami def. Ohio, 3-2

A two-goal second-half deficit was too much for the Ohio field hockey team to overcome, as they dropped a disappointing, 3-2 decision to the Miami RedHawks Sunday afternoon on Senior Day at Pruitt Field. The Bobcats (7-11, 5-4 MAC) cut the Miami lead in half with just over 15 minutes to play, but Ohio could not capitalize on a penalty corner as time expired, allowing the RedHawks (12-6, 6-3 MAC) to escape with the victory. With the loss, Ohio fell into third place in the Mid-American Conference, while Miami took sole possession of second. MORE
