MAC Announces 2007 Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team

Cleveland, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced today its 2007 Men’s Golf Academic All-MAC team. The five-member team was voted on by the league’s Faculty Athletic Representatives from among a list of student-athletes who have excelled in athletic and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.

Brad Wright of Akron and Graham Hill of Eastern Michigan received All-MAC First Team and All-Tournament Team honors. Tom Ballinger of Kent State was also named to this year’s All-MAC First Team, while Wright’s teammate Colin Clemente was named to the 2007 All-MAC Second Team. Zach Jecklin of Northern Illinois has been named to the Academic All-MAC team for the second time in as many years.
