At the conclusion of the 27th annual MAC Gymnastics Championship, Eastern Michigan clinched its first MAC Championship Title in 26 years. EMU posted a score of 194.525 followed by Runner-up Kent State 194.275, Central Michigan 194.050, Ball State 193.400, Northern Illinois 192.950, Western Michigan 192.200 and Bowling Green 191.925. Jenna Tarkington, a senior from Ball State, took first place on the vault with a 9.825. Kristin Peters of Kent State snatched both bars ( 9.875) and beam (9.900) championship titles while fellow teammate Amy Cucinotta took first place honors on the floor exercise (9.850). Junior Jolene Worley of EMU took home the all-around title with a score of 39.175.
