University of Akron sophomore Kristen Hill shot an even par Monday to capture the second individual title of her career and lead the Zips to a fourth-place finish at the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate, hosted by Texas State. Hill (74-77-72), who carded 151 strokes over two rounds on Sunday's opening day, entered play Monday in sixth place and four strokes back of leader Landa Stewart from Sam Houston State. Hill fired a 72 to finish first with a 223 total, which was three strokes better than runner-up Ellen Mueller from Oklahoma. In all, it was the eighth top-10 finish of Hill's career and her 15th top-20 designation. Hill, who claimed her first championship at the Cardinal Classic at the Player's Club in Yorktown, Ind. in September of 2008, owns both individual titles in the two-year history of the Akron women's golf program.

Kim Hunley finished 16th at The Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate... she carded her tournament low with a five-over 77 in round two, lowering her first round score by one stroke... was the top performer in the tournament, which also featured Akron, from the Mid-American Conference.

Scott carded a three-over-par 75 on the final 18 holes. The junior from New Zealand, finished the three-day tournament at seven-over 223 (76-72-75) to place in a three-way tie for seventh.
