Both of her singles wins came in straight sets. Last week Jogasuria and doubles partner Zara Harutyunyan jumped up to No. 18 nationally in the ITA doubles rankings. The duo is also ranked eighth in the Midwest region. The pair of victories improved Akron's record to 5-0, including away wins over Big Ten opponents Michigan State and Penn State, and Big East for Louisville.

Additional Nominees:

Christine Chiricosta, Bowling Green - Senior, Avon Lake, Ohio (Avon Lake High School)

Bowling Green senior Christine Chiricosta went a perfect 4-0 as the Falcons split two matches in Colorado Springs, Colo., last weekend.  Chiricosta teamed up with sophomore Maddy Eccleston for a pair of wins at the number-one doubles flight, and captured two singles matches at the top flight.  Against Air Force, she was part of an 8-5 win in doubles, then rallied back after a loss in the first set for a three-set win over Christen Monreal, as all three sets ended in 6-4 scores. The next day, Chiricosta teamed up with Eccleston for an 8-2 outcome in doubles, then battled Colorado State's Caitlin Fluegge through a lengthy three-set match as she won the first set, 7-5, before losing the second set in a tiebreaker, 7-6, however in the third set, suffering from altitude sickness, battled back from a 5-3 deficit for a 7-5 win.  On the year, Chiricosta has a total of 33 wins, good for second on the team, and is 17-6 in singles and 16-7 at doubles, playing at the top flight in each.  Chiricosta tied Bowling Green's career record for singles wins in the Colorado State match, and now has 81 and is second in school history with 80 doubles wins.  Chiricosta set the school career record for overall wins a few weeks ago, and now has 161.
