Calka paced the Eagles at the 23rd Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational, as her third place finish in a time of 18:15 helped the Eagles place first overall as a team with just 45 points -- besting the second place team by 21 points. In the first two races of her collegiate career, Calka has placed fifth (Michigan Open) and third (Titan Invitational).

EMU senior Curtis Vollmar helped the Eagles to a first place finish at the 23rd Annual Running Fit-Detroit Titan Invitational, as his time of 19:54 was good for first overall out of 88 runners. Vollmar bested the second place finisher, former EMU runner Corey Nowitzke, by 10 seconds to claim the individual title and help the Eagles capture the team title with just 19 points. The time is also the fastest time run by an EMU runner in any competition ever.

Oldenburg was the top finisher for the Huskies, placing eighth out of 105 racers. In just her second race with the Huskies, she helped lead NIU to a fourth place finish out of nine competing teams.

After winning last week's dual meet against Bowling Green, Kipchumba was the first Rocket and fourth overall finisher at the Mel Brodt Invitational Saturday. He led the Rockets to a second-place finish in the meet.
