MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Katie Carter ? Akron
Senior - Euclid, Ohio (Euclid)
The UA senior dominated from both boards with two school record-breaking performances in a dual meet win over Marshall. Carter earned top marks in both 1-meter and 3-meter diving this weekend. In 1-meter diving, Carter finished with a 298.50 mark earning first place while also claiming the school record (previously held by Lindsey Power, 297.00). Carter would dive into familiar territory from the 3-meter springboard earning a score of 339.68 to solidify the top score on the day while acquiring school and pool records in the process (Carter previously held both records, 335.85).
MAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Chad Miller ? Buffalo
Freshman - Liverpool, NY/Liverpool
Miller swept the sprint events, placing first in the 50 freestyle (21.78) and the 100 freestyle (47.31) and also anchored the first place 200 freestyle relay (1:25.76) to help the Bulls defeat Binghamton, 126-91.

Jessica Ballard ? Buffalo
Junior - Hilton Head, SC/Hilton Head
Placed first in the 500 freestyle (5:15.52) and second in the 1000 freestyle (10:45.90) to help the Bulls beat Binghamton, 140-81.
Alissa Ricard ? Eastern Michigan
Senior - Tucson, Ariz.-Catalina Foothills
Won the 200 free (1:52.91) and 100 free (52.30) while helping the 400 free relay team to a win. Ricard also placed third in the 50 free, hitting the wall in 24.44.
Rachel Heim ? Ohio
Sophomore - San Diego, Calif./Horizon HS
Rachel notched four wins in four tries last weekend in the Bobcats' 171-121 win over Division III powerhouse Denison University. When the waves settled, Heim had recorded two personal bests and three season-best performances. Heim split a season and personal best 24.84 for the fly leg of the 200 medley relay. The Bobcats' time of 1:45.83 was also a season best. In the 200 butterfly, Heim finished first in a personal in-season best of 2:05.25. In the 100 freestyle, Rachel stopped the clock in a lifetime-best 52.03 and in the 400 freestyle relay Heim anchored the Bobcats to a win with a split of 53.07.
Laura Heckroth ? Toledo
Sophomore - Columbus, Ind./Columbus North
Laura Heckroth was consistent for the Rockets as she posted multiple Toledo top-times at the meet. She was the first in Midnight Blue and Gold to touch the wall in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyles with times of 53.38, 1:52.43 and 4:59.04, respectively. Her 500 free time ranks as the third best time in the MAC this season while her 1650 free from Saturday's meet (17:22.69) ranks seventh in this season's conference ranks.

Swept the fly events, winning the 100 fly (50.45) and the 200 fly (1:51.58) vs. Oakland. He also helped the 200 medley relay team to a third place finish and the 400 free relay team to a 4th place showing.
