With temperatures dipping into the low 40’s and wind gusts of 20 miles per hour during the cloudy weekend, Markle persevered to earned his third straight top 10 finish and fifth of the year. He ended the tournament tied for seventh with an 11-over 224 (73-76-75) at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State at the Scarlet Course. Markle's play helped lead No. 36 KSU to a third place in the event which featured four other top 40 teams and seven Big Ten programs. On his way to a 75 today he started off on hole five then made birdies on seven and 12, before finishing with four straight pars.
Colin Clemente, Akron, Sr., Hubbard, Ohio (Warren JFK)
University of Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational
Clemente was the only Zip over the 54-hole tournament to finish a round under par. He significantly helped the Zips round two comeback shooting a 70 after carding an 85 in round one of play. Clemente wrapped up the tournament with a round three 76 bringing his three round total to 231 on the weekend. He finished tied for 24th out of the pool of 94 golfers.

Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational
Finish: T-12th tie
Maurer managed an 81-75-70 at the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational on the University of Kentucky's Big Blue Course. Maurer helped the Cardinals to an 11th-place finish in the tourney. His final round 70 was the lowest third round score in the 96-man field.

Palisades Collegiate Classic
77-73-74 - 224
Larente paced the attack for the Green and White with a 224 (77-74-73). Larente, who tied for 39th place, was the lowest scoring EMU player for the second time this season. Additionally, his 224 is the fifth best 54-hole total in during his rookie campaign. The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team concluded the Palisades Collegiate Classic with a tie for 12th place on the par-72, 6,797-yard Palisades Country Club layout. The Eagles posted a 298 in the final round to wind up with a score of 898 for the tournament, tied with the University of Nebraska.

UK Bluegrass Invitational

Sutherland led the RedHawks, finishing in 17th place at the UK Bluegrass Invitational. It marked the fifth time this season Sutherland has been the top finisher for the Red and White.

UK Bluegrass Invitational
Hubert Trahan led the Rockets to an eighth-place finish at the UK Bluegrass Invitational with a 15-over par 228 (78-76-74) for an 18th-place finish. Sunday’s first and second round were played in rainy and cold conditions. Trahan ranks second on the team with a 74.6 stroke average.
