The Mid-American Conference released its 2006-07 Academic All-MAC Men’s Swimming and Diving team as

on the Academic All-MAC Team are the number that is set for the specific sport or 33 percent of the number of nominees, whichever is

greater.

2007 MAC Champion Eastern Michigan led the league in number of honorees, with six swimmers being named to the squad. Among

those six was Dan Wohl, the 2007 MAC Senior Swimmer of the Year. Second-place Miami followed with four selections to the team,

while Ball State, Buffalo and Ohio had one student athlete named to this year’s team.

The 2006-07 Academic All-MAC squad includes four members from last year’s team: Ball State senior Zach Whitaker, Eastern

Michigan’s senior Dan Wohl along with juniors Steven Bowling and Andrzej Olesinski.

A total of eight members on this season’s team garnered all-conference recognition at the conclusion of last week’s MAC Championships

at Buffalo’s Alumni Arena Natatorium. First-team selections were Paul Ricard and Nick DuPuis of Miami and EMU’s Dan

Wohl, Donald Ellison, Steven Bowling and Michael Rowland. All-MAC second-team honorees that were also a member of the All-
